Kevin Antonyshyn has been serving clients in his own practice for over 20 years. He currently practices as a Lawyer, Notary Public, and Chartered Professional Accountant. With values of excellence and integrity, Kevin enjoys using his rare combination of training and experience in law, business, accounting, finance and tax to offer clients fully-integrated legal, tax and financial solutions as may be required. He also offers a rare insight and perspective that only an advisor who is both a Lawyer and a CPA can provide. As a Lawyer, Kevin provides legal advice and assistance primarily in estate planning & wills, trusts, planning for incapacity and disabled beneficiaries, corporate & commercial matters, incorporations & business planning, corporate reorganizations, estate freezes & succession planning, and taxation & tax planning. As a CPA, he provides tax compliance & planning, accounting, and consulting/advisory services to individuals, estates, trusts, and owner-managed businesses (proprietors, partnerships and corporations). Kevin successfully completed the requirements to become a lawyer while he maintained his practice as a professional accountant. Prior to starting his own accounting and tax practice, he held positions of progressive management responsibility with large national corporations. There he obtained significant experience in financial, marketing, management and strategic planning roles. Kevin presently serves and has served on several professional and not-for-profit boards and committees, and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, The Estate Planning Council of Winnipeg, and several sections of the Manitoba Bar Association. He has also been published in the Manitoba Law Journal, and has served on the editorial panel for Carswell Canada for a law textbook. In addition, Kevin has presented on tax topics to lawyers, accountants, financial planners, and other professionals through The Estate Planning Council of Winnipeg and the Law Society of Manitoba, and to families who have members with disabilities through Continuity Care Inc.Kevin obtained a B.Comm.(Honours) in finance and an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Manitoba. After his MBA, he completed the requirements for his professional accounting designation where he received several awards for academic excellence, including the Gold Medal. He also achieved the highest standing in "Taxation" and "Advanced Finance" in Canada and the highest standing in "Advanced Taxation" in Manitoba. As well, Kevin completed a Strategic Management Course at the University of Saskatchewan and a Leadership Course at The Niagara Institute. Lastly, he obtained a LL.B in law from the University of Manitoba. He was on the Dean’s Honour List in law school and he received numerous awards and prizes there for academic excellence in Tax, Wills, Trusts, Legislative Process, and Advocacy. Kevin was born and raised in Winnipeg. He enjoys cooking, building pretty much anything, family time, and sharing a good story and a few laughs. Publications & Presentations:
